Well, our students have spoken and proven that Beauty School is a true bellwether. Decked out in heels and make-up, our lovely beauty delegates - as well as our male students in their speedos - flocked to the library to cast their votes and set the standard by voting for Barack Obama. He won of course and is the first African-American to be elected President of the USA. Which put us in mind of the first African-American to win the title of Miss USA, Carole Gist of Michigan who won in 1990 and ended up as first runner-up to Miss Universe 1990.
