MISS AND MISTER LATVIA

The new Miss and Mister Latvia are Alise Miškovska, 23 and 1m74, and Edvīns Ločmelis, 21 and 1m87. Miss Lativa first runner-up was blonde Lelde Paulsone, 21; Mister Latvia first runner-up was Beauty School's favorite Andis Vēveris, 25. Winning Miss and Mister Foto were Oksana Užgalova, 22, and blond Jānis Beķers, 23. Dean Harris and Prof. Chandni think Latvians are just about as gorgeous as Brazilians and hope to see Alise do well in Miss World 2011 and would love to see her or her first runner-up at Miss Universe 2011, too!

THE NEXT BALTIC BEAUTY AND BEAU

The next official beauty and beau of the Baltic nation of Latvia will be chosen tomorrow. The winner of Miss Latvia will be her country's delegate to Miss World 2011, and the winner of Mister Latvia will likely show up in an international competition as well. The seven women competing for Miss Latvia are Alise Miškovska, Evita Stepāne, Lelde Paulsone, Marija Hubašvili, Oksana Užgalova, Viktorija Bobova, and Zanda Kivleniece. The Mister Latvia competitors are Andis Vēveris, Edgars Strapcāns, Edvīns Ločmelis, Ivans Jevstigņejevs, Jānis Beķers, Kārlis Kalniņš, and Oskars Lauva.
