MISTER ITALIA AND MISS GRAND PRIX 2011

The new Mister Italia 2011 is Ciro Torlo, 24, of Torre del Greco, Naples. He won the coveted title on Saturday night during a co-ed pageant in Alba Adriatica, one of Abruzzo's "Seven Sisters" on the Adriatic coast. The pageant also saw the 24th edition of Miss Grand Prix, won by Irene Cavaglia, 18.

Other titles handed out at Mister Italia 2011 were "Mister Talento," handed to Luca Cacciapuoti; "L’Uomo ideale d’Italia," won by Michel Roboulaz; "Il Volto più Bello d’Italia" was awarded to Marco Crepalfi; Mister Modena 2011 Davide Carlotta won the "Il Modello d’Italia" title. Andrea Notaro won the the title of "Un Bello per il Cinema," and the "Mister Salute e Benessere" sash went to Gianluca Pietropaolo.

MISTER MODENA 2011

The preliminary contests for the Mister Italia 2011 final are heating up. Last weekend, Davide Carlotta, 22, won the Mister Modena 2011 title. He now moves forward to the Mister Italia 2011 final, which we undestand is set for September 18 in Abruzzo.

BMOC 2011

Viva Italia! BMOC 2011 is Italy, Andrea Cipolla! He won handily, with 43% of the votes by our student body. Runners-up, in order and as determined by the Beauty School student body, were the Philippines' Paulo Mirasol, Hong Kong's Dickson Wong, Brazil's Carlos Lima, and Honduras' Carlos Saul Orantes.

Despite his win, Andrea will continue to pursue his communications degree and anchor Beauty School's morning TV news show, Today's BS. Be sure to stop by Studio 1A at the Amparo Munoz Center for the Performing Arts to congratulate him on his new BMOC title.

MISTER GAY ITALIA 2010

The new Mister Gay Italia 2010 is Guilio Spatala, 26. Originally from Palermo, he now lives in Rome. Watch the "incoronazione" at the Il Tirreno news website.

MISTER TOPOLINI 2010

Blond soccer player Denis Tiziani is Mister Topolini 2010. Denis, 1m87, 20 and born under the sign of Cancer, won the title on July 22 in Trieste, Italy. Runners-up were Thomas Postogna, winning the title of Mister Deichmann, and Denis Demarchi, winning the title of Mister Cinecity. Ten handsome young men competed in this first-ever Mister Topolini pageant. The remaining seven contestants were Mark Rossman, Vico Rossetti, Gabriele Auber, Gianluca Piovesan, Piero Manospierto, Alex Novak, and Hermes Jurisevic.

IL + BELLO D'ITALIA 2009

Il + Bello d'Italia 2009 is Maurizio Pizzagalli, 21, from Pesaro. He won the title on Friday night in a glittering ceremony held in Teramo, Italy. Also, Carlotta Maggiorana won the title of Miss Grand Prix 2009.
