NINA, PINTA, SANTA MARIA, MISS CUBA

Say what? Well, its Columbus Day in the USA, which marks the so called discovery of America by Christopher Columbus. He didn't actually land on the mainland but the islands in the Carribean. Whatever. Most people get the day off, the post offices and banks will be closed, etc. Now let us take a real stretch here by sharing a photo of Miss Free Cuba 1961 at the Miss Universe pageant. Columbus did explore the island of Cuba in 1490 something. Good enough excuse for this post. Columbus was from Genoa, Italy so go out and enjoy some Genoa salami!
