OPA!

This week at Beauty School is "Opa!" Week, a celebration of all things Greek, which is a lead up to Graduation Day. George Michael, Nana Mouskouri, and Yanni - in an unprecedented joint appearance - will perform an open-air concert together at the Madhu Sapre Sports Arena; the films of Melina Mercouri will be showcased at the Amparo Muñoz Performing Arts Center; Café Zulu will serve spanakopita and tiropita for lunch.

And at the library, there will be be a special photography exhibition of the Miss Universe 2007 Dress Rehearsal, at which Miss Greece 2007 Doukissa Nomikou made the top five. Ask Lorraine at the main desk for directions to the exhibition hall.

The Deans have invited Corinna Tsopei and Irene Skliva to co-deliver the commencement address at Graduation Day. So far, however, they have not RSVPed. So, keep posted for news of our Commencement Speaker this year (Vanessa Minnillo and Mario Lopez are next on the list, should we not receive an affirmative from Corinna and Irene).
