Here is the new Miss Universe Vietnam, Thuy Lam Nguyen, during a preliminary competition in which the contestants modeled in the traditional Vietnamese garment Áo Dài and in modern evening gowns. Did you know that Áo Dài is the required uniform for high school girls and was once worn by both genders? Today, it is worn mainly by females, except for certain important traditional culture-related occasions where some men do wear it.
